An ADHD autistic woman is hosting a silent disco for people with internal hyperactivity.
Instead of listening to actual music, participants will be encouraged to listen to whatever song is currently stuck in their heads whilst wearing noise cancelling headphones, carrying glowsticks and eating street food. Free rumination is also encouraged.
“It’s a chance for people to meet new people while quietly going over their entire lives,” said organiser and unmedicated ADHDer Leila Varley. “I mean, you can do that down at Whetherspoons, but here, everyone else will be doing the same thing. And the food will be better…”
