Woman’s ‘rare personality type’ actually just ADHD and autism

The Daily Distraction: Satirical ADHD news

A woman identified as a ‘rare’ personality type by psychometric testing at work is actually just a woman who meets the diagnostic criteria for ADHD, autism and dyspraxia, it has been revealed.

Cassandra Gravely, 33, recently attended a corporate awayday where she spent an hour completing a compulsory personality test and was told hers was the rarest of the five personality types identified by the test.

Gravely scored as highly conscientious and imaginative, but low on organisational skills, interpersonal skills, nonverbal reasoning skills and also, self-esteem.

“It said things like ‘Engagement matters to me’ and you had to choose to agree or disagree,” Gravely recalls. “There wasn’t a box for ‘What kind of engagement? What does any of this even mean?! Why am I here?!’ “

Gravely’s line manager Susannah Mees said: “I’ve been telling her for months she’s the wrong personality type for her job. Or any job, probably.”

“Apparently she’s just neurodivergent, which means I have to pretend to help her do her job. Or I would do, if she hadn’t just handed in her notice…”
